Devlog – Dragon’s End 0.1.1 Release

Dragon’s End Level 1 Release (v0.1.1)

Hey everyone!

We’ve reached a huge milestone: the release of Level 1 (version 0.1.1) of Dragon’s End! This marks the first full step into the world beyond the tutorial, and we couldn’t be more excited (and a little nervous) to share it with you.

Level 1 takes Dragon’s End into darker territory, setting the stage for the emotional and psychological weight that’s at the core of this story. It’s heavy, but it’s also important, and it’s just the beginning of what’s to come.

⚠️ Trigger Warnings for this release:

  • Child death

  • Cult activity

  • Mentions of plague

  • Death of family, pets, and friends

  • Potential suicide

  • Potential Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) splitting

If these topics are difficult for you, please take care while playing — your well-being matters most.

✨ What’s New in v0.1.1

  • The first full level of Dragon’s End is now playable.

  • Expanded use of the Mental Points (MP) system, showing how trauma and stress affect gameplay.

  • New environments, story events, and choices that shape Dillon’s journey.

  • Even more ways to see how your party interacts with hardship and how you as a player can help them survive it

📝 Community Lore Contest — September

We still need more entries in the Discord contest! Finish the prompt with lore, myths, or theories about the world of Dragon’s End, and your work could become in-game text, NPC dialogue, or hidden stories. Entries close at the end of September, so don’t miss your chance to help shape this universe.

🎃 October Community Event: Mental Health in Games

This release is very dark — intentionally so. But we know that handling mental health themes responsibly matters just as much as making them immersive. That’s why in October we’ll be hosting an event on Discord where you can share recommendations on how we can make these topics less triggering while still meaningful.

We want Dragon’s End to be a place where players feel seen and understood but also safe. Your voices will help us get there.

💖 Supporting Development

Dragon’s End will always be free to play, but if you’d like to support ongoing development (created while we live on disability), donations are a lifeline that let us keep building this dream. Every bit truly makes a difference.

This is a major step forward, and we’re so grateful you’re here with us at the start of it all. Dragon’s End is about survival, resilience, and hope in the face of darkness — and building it together with you is what makes it shine.
